Description

The Autumn 2015 UCSF meeting will very kindly be hosted by the Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge

The main theme of the Autumn 2015 UCSF meeting is Chemistry Safety Education
Speakers from the Royal Society of Chemistry and members of UCSF will discuss chemistry safety education in universities.*
Guest Speakers Dr Jason Lynam, the Chair of the RSC Committee for Accreditation and Validation, will discuss the role of degree accreditation in promoting professional standards, and Prof. Bryan Hanley, President of the RSC Industry & Technology Division Council will examine the chemistry safety education expectations in industry.
Dr Elaine Armstrong, Univ. of Manchester, will also report on recent progress on the transport of chemicals, CLP & REACH
There will be an accidents and incidents section, and if you wish to share information on accidents and near-misses that could help prevent a recurrence please get in touch at info@chemsaf.org
    • all information shared in accidents and incidents session is done so under the Chatham House rule, i.e. members of audience agree to not make any attribution to the institution, any people involved, or the person reporting the information
    • Registration fees are waived for speakers
